A Change In Style That Produced Results!

Dr Steve Cree managed a very busy, outward looking team in a large university: they were required to develop relationships with regional business and commerce, including the public sector.

A team member had taken offence at Steve's approach, stating that she found him abrasive and challenging. Steve's assertion was that the individual concerned had issues of their own, including their somewhat slip-shod approach to work and that his intervention was merely to do with raising performance. His line manager and H.R personnel had been involved.

Our Coaching Programme presented Steve Cree an opportunity to identify areas where his response to pressure generated approaches and behaviours that were vulnerable to misinterpretations and misunderstandings (sometimes         intentional).

Our work together established a series of interpersonal and team communication goals: including when where and how to challenge, establishing dialogue and accountability and enabling individuals to tale ownership of aspects of their work, related to the organisations needs and aspirations.

Dr Steve Cree was promoted within 6 months of completing the programme
